How do I set up my email on my device?
Most email apps only need your email address, password, and the correct incoming/outgoing server settings. We provide these details for all Vfast email accounts. Simply enter them into your device’s mail app (e.g., Windows Mail, Apple Mail, Outlook), and it will guide you through the setup.
What’s the difference between IMAP and POP3?
IMAP keeps your emails stored on the server and syncs them across all your devices. POP3 downloads emails to one device and usually removes them from the server. If you use multiple devices, IMAP is normally the best choice.
Why can’t I send or receive emails?
This can happen for a few reasons: incorrect passwords, wrong server settings, full mailbox storage, or poor internet connection. Double-check your login details and server settings first. If everything looks correct, contact our support team for help.
My mailbox is full. What should I do?
You can free up space by deleting old or large emails, emptying your trash folder, or archiving messages to your device. If your mailbox fills up regularly, your email app may also need to be set to IMAP instead of POP3.
Can I access my email on more than one device?
Yes. If your email is set to IMAP, all your messages will stay in sync whether you’re checking from a phone, tablet, or computer.
Why am I being asked for my password again?
This usually happens if the app failed to connect to the mail server, the password was changed, or your mailbox reached its size limit. Re-enter your correct password and check your account storage.
What is SMTP and why do I need it?
SMTP is the system your device uses to send emails. Without SMTP configured correctly, you’ll be able to receive emails but won’t be able to send any.
Why are my emails going to spam?
Sometimes emails land in spam if the message looks suspicious or the receiving service thinks it might be unwanted. Ask your contacts to mark your messages as “Not Spam” and avoid sending large attachments or unusual links.
What should I do if I’ve forgotten my email password?
Just contact our support team. We’ll verify your account and reset the password for you.
Can I keep my email address if I leave Vfast?
Yes, you can keep your @vfast.co.uk email address for a £20 annual fee. Just let us know before your broadband service ends so we can keep it active.
