Holiday Park Rentals & Sublets
This article explains how broadband is set up in park-managed rental and sublet holiday homes, and how this differs from a standard owner broadband connection.
Types of broadband setup on holiday parks
Holiday Home Owner broadband
- Private service installed into an individual unit
- Uses a home-style router
- Wi-Fi is controlled by the owner
- If privately rented, sharing Wi-Fi is the owner’s choice
Rentals and sublets
- Part of the park’s official rental or sublet scheme
- Uses an internal Wireless Access Point
- Internet use is defined by the park’s agreement with Vfast
- A Guest Wi-Fi Network is available for timed access
This article focuses on rentals and sublets.
For Owners not subletting see: Holiday Home Owner Broadband
Owner’s private Wi-Fi in a sublet
- A private Wi-Fi network is created for the owner
- Password is known only to the owner unless shared
- Kept separate from the Guest Wi-Fi
Owners use this network when staying in their unit.
Guest Wi-Fi in rentals and sublets
- Guest Wi-Fi is broadcast from the internal Wireless Access Point
- Timed access is paid for through the guest portal
- Experience is the same for park-owned rentals and sublet units
How guests access the internet
Voucher or portal access
- Connect to guest Wi-Fi
- Redirected to a Guest Portal
- Enter a code or buy access
Included guest Wi-Fi
- Access is included with the booking
- May require only a simple login or acceptance page
Access method is set by the park, not the owner.
Privately rented units
- Treated as standard owner broadband
- Uses a home router
- Internet access is controlled by the owner
- Owner can change the Wi-Fi password or not offer Wi-Fi
There is no park-managed guest Wi-Fi unless the park provides it separately.
