V-Smart Mesh – Quick FAQ


What does V-Smart Mesh do?

V-Smart Mesh extends your Wi-Fi coverage so you get a stronger signal in more rooms.


Does it replace my router?

No. It works alongside your Vfast router to improve coverage, not replace it.


Will it make my internet faster?

It won’t increase your broadband speed, but it can improve Wi-Fi performance in areas with weak signal.


Do I need to change my Wi-Fi name or password?

No. Your existing Wi-Fi name and password stay the same.


Is an app required to use V-Smart Mesh?

No. Mesh units pair automatically when plugged in.

An optional app is available if you want more visibility or control.


Where should I place mesh units?

Place them halfway between the router and the area with weak signal.

Avoid cupboards, thick walls, or metal objects.


What if a mesh unit shows a warning light?

Move it closer to the router or another mesh unit and power-cycle it.


Will mesh fix slow speeds next to my router?

No. If speeds are slow near the router, the issue is not Wi-Fi coverage.


Can I move mesh units later?

Yes. You can unplug and reposition them at any time.


Do mesh units work on all Vfast services?

Yes. They work with Ultrafast, Superfast, and Fast Broadband services.
