Reprogram a TP-Link Archer C6

Follow the steps below to reconnect your router and get back online.

You can connect using a cable (recommended) or over Wi-Fi.

Option A: Wired Connection (Recommended)

  2. The default Wi-Fi name starts with TP-Link_.

  4. When prompted, enter the 8-digit PIN shown on the router label.

You are now connected to the router, but not the internet yet.

6. Set Up Your Wi-Fi Names (SSIDs)

You can choose any Wi-Fi name and password, but this shows the default setup.

  1. In the left menu, click WIRELESS > WIRELESS SETTINGS.
  2. Use the 2.4GHz | 5GHz selector at the top right to switch bands.

2.4GHz Wi-Fi

5GHz Wi-Fi

  2. Enter the same name as above, but add 5GHz to the end.
